Cool Technology was first established in 2003 with a focus on air-conditioning sales, service and installation across the marine and commercial markets in Australia and overseas.

Since then the business has expanded and evolved, serving large-scale clients such as the Royal Australian Navy and mining group Rio Tinto. Carrying unrivalled experience, we offer expert advice that’s unparalleled, and in our city, we’re able to repair rather than replace, meaning people are staying cool, quicker than using alternative service people.

Erwin Catcatan

Senior HVAC Technician

Erwin Catcatan is a highly experienced Senior HVAC Technician at CoolTech, specialising in marine and commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems. With a strong background in diagnostics, installation, and system remediation, Erwin has played a key role in delivering high-performance climate solutions for naval vessels, luxury yachts, and complex chilled water systems. Erwin is known for his attention to detail, reliability, and ability to solve technical challenges in high-pressure environments. He works across a broad range of CoolTech projects, from complete system overhauls to precision maintenance and commissioning. Erwin also contributes to the development of the next generation of tradespeople through his mentorship of apprentices within the company.

CoolTech is a fully owned West Australian business, operating from a workshop & offices located, in Bibra Lake WA. CoolTech specialises in Marine Air Conditioning & Refrigeration.

The scope provided to CoolTech covered in the specification provided for the refurbishment of the Yong Endeavour, including the installation, testing, & commissioning of the Air Conditioning system.

CoolTech currently has 5 Full Time fully qualified, licenced, and insured Refrigeration Mechanics, one Apprentice, and two RAN Trainee Refrigeration Mechanics (on secondment). The CoolTech team is bolstered when required by a team of Refrigeration and Electrician sub-contractors.
